TRT vs. Enclomiphene: What's the Difference?
Two approaches to testosterone optimization — selection depends on clinical evaluation.
Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) delivers exogenous testosterone — injections, gels, or other formulations — to raise blood levels directly.
Enclomiphene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator that stimulates the body's own testosterone production by acting on the hypothalamus/pituitary axis. It may preserve fertility better than TRT in some men.
Key differences: TRT suppresses natural testosterone production and typically reduces sperm production. Enclomiphene aims to increase endogenous production without external testosterone — but is not appropriate for all patients.
Selection depends on: Lab values, symptoms, fertility goals, contraindications, tolerance, and preference. No online article can recommend one over the other for you.
NeuMed offers both pathways: TRT from $129/mo and enclomiphene from $39/mo starting — final pricing at consultation. See /wellness-services/testosterone-trt-therapy/ and /wellness-services/enclomiphene/.
Important: Treatment comparisons require medical evaluation. Schedule a men's health consultation before starting either approach.
