A collection of helpful resources about IV infusion therapy.
IV Therapy is a method of administering Saline and any vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, and/or amino acids directly into the bloodstream through intravenous (IV) infusion.
It provides your body with nearly instant valuable nutrients by bypassing the digestive system, and has been clinically proven to be more effective than oral supplements.
There are countless benefits of IV infusion therapy including increased energy, instantaneous vitamin absorption, and maintained hydration. For more information on all the benefits of IV infusions, check out this post on our blog, The Complete Guide to IV Infusion Therapy Benefits.
In short no, it does not hurt. But while everyone is different, the overall consensus from our patients on the process of starting an IV is “wow, that wasn’t bad at all!”.
After a small and fast ‘pinch’ the IV will be inserted and you can start relaxing in our zero-gravity massage chairs until your treatment is completed.
Once finished, the provider will circle back to disconnect your IV and apply a small bandaid to get you on your way.
Also, to ease any potential discomfort we offer an optional numbing medication in the form of Lidocaine available by request.
All vitamins and nutrients used at NeuMed are FDA approved and go through high levels of testing. Every IV therapy treatment is administered by registered nurses and performed under a medical director.
Before an IV infusion is ever started on a client, vitals signs are recorded and their health history evaluated to ensure a safe experience.
Once the treatment has finished, clients can resume most, if not all activities immediately with the exception of extremely heavy lifting.
While most insurance companies do not cover IV therapy services, we encourage you to contact your insurance carrier and confirm if there is any question. In most cases you can use an HSA (Health Savings Account) to pay for IV therapy services.
Most IV therapy clinics administer their IVs to their customers all in one room in a group setting. NeuMed is one of the first IV therapy clinics to offer private infusion suites where you get your own private room with a door. Each suite is also outfitted a zero-gravity massage chair along with a TV setup with Netflix.
Yes! Whether it’s a corporate event, just you and your friend’s weekend retreat or a fun-filled bachelorette party, adding IV vitamin therapy helps keep everyone energized and feeling great.
Your guests are going to thank you after.
While you will benefit from a single IV infusion treatment, our average IV clients visit 1-2x a week, depending on their lifestyle and goals.
More than 2x per week is not recommended for most people.
While IV fluids can be beneficial to patients of any age, we can only give 1 liter of fluids to patients who weigh a minimum of 100 lbs. If under 100 lbs, we will need to modify the amount of IV fluids provided.
